Meta Discussion 2: Skimming the Surface
Why might it be useful to add a supplemental text, such as the Minnesota Report Card, to the building of surface level knowledge in our primary text? In what way might it be helpful to ask students to engage in the author's perspective while reading?
How might this work in your context (we are defining text as any symbolic representation of an idea-equations, infographics, recipes, props, etc.)?
